A Celebration of Cinema and Solidarity through Song
Music of Hope and Equality
Presented by DC's Different Drummers
A Celebration of Cinema and Solidarity through Song

Performances by the Capitol Pride Symphonic Band
and Capitol Pride Winds

Celebrating America's gay composers whose movie music has become
soundtracks to our lives. From Bridge on the River Kwai and the films of
the 1950's to Harry Potter and films of the 21st century, composers such
as Ralph Vaughan Williams, Leonard Bernstein, John Williams, Ira
Hearshen have, through their music, chronicled the struggle of voices
asking to be heard. Music and the arts have always been powerful
instruments for pointing out injustice and inequality in our society.
Capitol Pride Symphonic Band salutes these and other fine composers
whose passion for music and desire to tell a story has given us music
that is timeless.

Ticket information: All seats $25.
